North Georgia Including Ringgold, Chickamauga, Fort Oglethorpe, and Lafayette
Ringgold
is nestled among the mountains of Northwest Georgia in Catoosa County, which is one of the fastest growing counties in Georgia. The growth and prosperity has brought a strong housing market with many new developments, which are selling fast. Ringgold is only minutes from Chattanooga yet retains that small rural home town feeling. In the past few years the county has developed the Benton Place campus on Hwy 2, new facilities include a civic center with performing arts theater, library, learning center, senior center, and health center. Looking ahead, the hope is that Northwestern Technical College at Benton Place will offer higher education to 6,000 students within a decade.
Chickamauga
is best known for the Chickamauga National Military Park, where many battles of the Confederacy were fought. The park has civil war monuments with plaques telling the story of battles fought their. Other sites of interest are the Gordon Lee Mansion, constructed in 1840 and later used by the Union Army as a hospital, the Chickamauga Coke ovens which are located just north of downtown Chickamauga on Highway 341, Crawfish Springs was the main water supply for the early settlements and later the City of Chickamauga, train depot and museum, and the historic town of Chickamauga.

Fort Oglethorpe
located in Catoosa County is a small town established in 1949. When at the end of World War II, the War Department determined that the army facility known as Fort Oglethorpe had become surplus property and instructed the War Assets Administration to sell the land and structures to the public. With a vision for the future, local residents applied to the state of Georgia for incorporation. In 1949, the city of Fort Oglethorpe was established, the first city to be formed in Georgia in 25 years. Fort Oglethorpe has been experiencing strong growth with its location, work force, and medical care by Hutcheson Medical Hospital. In recent years Fort Oglethorpe has had many new restaurants locate their along with Home Depot, Lowe´s Home Improvement Warehouse and Wal-Mart.
Lafayette
located in Walker County has a population of 61,884 with traditional agriculture farmland giving way to many new subdivision developments and showing strong growth. Lafayette is home to Pigeon Mountain Wildlife Management area with over 45 miles of horseback riding trails. Pigeon Mountain contains one of the deepest vertical pit caves in the United States. Lafayette´s home to several large employers including Blue Bird Body Company, Wal-Mart, Roper Corporation, and Synthetic Industries.
